Overhaul recovers $400K in stolen OTC pharmaceuticals
In August 2025, Overhaul recovered a $400K stolen OTC shipment via tech, intelligence, and law enforcement coordination.

A shipment originating in Tennessee was fraudulently diverted mid-route. Originally scheduled for a legitimate stop, the driver was redirected to an unauthorized delivery location based on manipulated instructions.
Without prioritized risk triggers or automated alerts, the theft went unnoticed until the shipment failed to arrive. Overhaul’s LE Connect and Intelligence teams working with Cook County Sheriff’s Organized Retail Crime Unit & Chattanooga Police Department maintained engagement with law enforcement for three days, ultimately locating the stolen trailer in Chicago.
Overhaul deployed layered tech, field intel, and law enforcement coordination to locate and recover the stolen trailer Alongside the pharmaceuticals, authorities discovered high-end garment bags unlisted on the BOL, suggesting prior involvement in multiple thefts.
Following the incident, the customer upgraded to a full Overhaul service for proactive monitoring, prioritized risk events, and rapid intervention.
"This recent incident, more specifically the method of fraud, was new in our playbook. The collaboration and speed of action across our partnership led by Overhaul's LE Connect team secured a successful recovery and kept our products out of secondary markets."
